This is my prototype SMPS, wich is Half Bridge and it is working out of 230Vac. It was created for driving amps like LM3886 or TDA 7294 with -/+ 35Vdc at output.

Here you can see it at work, connected to 100w amp at full volume. You can see that there is no heat sinks for supply and that is because it has high efficiency, much higher than 90%. The only thing that has heat up was output diods but only at 35~40C

The power that I already got out from it was 730w with peak of 1kw, but has no problem going for a lot more.
